Points system

1st place    =    10points

2nd place    =    6 points

3rd place    =    4 points

4th place    =    3 points

5th place    =    2 points

6th place    =    1 point

The FIA have created some new rules for the Silverstone British GP of this year so that most of the electronic parts of the cars must be taken out. for example the speed limiters for the pit lane will be taken out. This will most likely mean lots of 10 second penalties. they have done this that the electronics will not take away the skill of the driver.
